Platinum Blonde

I'm turning 25 tomorrow... Why not do something crazy, right?! I have been doing a lot of research on this bold hair color and I will admit I am still on the fence. I have read that platinum blonde is good for my pale & pink skin tone, but I have also read that it will make my flaws stand out more. This post by Yara Michels over at Chapter Friday makes me think that the "platinum blonde style" will be perfect with my personality. Now, I just need to be courageous enough to do it.

What do you think about platinum blonde? Have you been wanting to make a bold change?

Adventure is worthwhile

Hello, friends! We have been in California 7 WEEKS now! I miss home, but it is so beautiful here. Plus, I can't complain about missing the Texas heat. The picture above is not from Cali, but from my trip to Alaska a few years ago. I thought it went with the quote, and this trip has definitely been an adventure. There are so many festivals every weekend and an amazing variety of delicious foods. It has been wonderful!

Good Eats:
*La Bodeguite Del Medio  is a local Cuban place in Palo Alto. It has a great atmosphere and a cigar  lounge in the back. Just thinking about the food is making my mouth water.
*Little Italy in San Francisco; I can't find the place we went online. Of course, they did have hand written menus, so a website is probably not a priority. Guess we will have to go again to figure out the name of the place!
*Hon Sushi is in Mountain View by the Google office. They even have a google roll. Daniel and I got 2 rolls, soup and salad, and a bento box for $20!!! It is cheap and probably the best sushi I've ever had.

If you ever come out to Bay Area you should try some of these places. Well, I hope everyone had a great week! & HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

*I turn 25 next week.... Is quarter life crisis a real thing? I think so; what do you think?

Dominican Republic

This trip was wonderful! My parents did try to scare me with stories they had read online about the food, the water and the crime rate; thankfully it didn't work. The food was delicious; it's amazing how good food can be when it's not full of preservatives. There was plenty of bottled water and we just boiled tap water if we needed to. Sousa (where we stayed 7 of the 8 days) felt much safer than Santo Domingo, but being there with 4 guys helped tooOverall it was spectacular. Beautiful beaches and great friends. If you every get a chance to go, you should.

Starts with a Decision

Ever since I moved home from school I have had a fear, "What am I going to do with my life now?" Most of my friends that graduated with me know their next step in life already. Some will be entering graduate programs, others have jobs, and some are starting their own families. I, on the other hand, am lost. I feel like I have taken steps backwards. I know sitting here whining is not the way to find myself, but I have chosen to bring you on my journey.
I have always thought that I wanted to Art Therapy and I believe that I still do, but I want to do other things also. "You can do anything but not everything." I need to just focus and go for Art Therapy, so I am off to research programs and see my options.

Happy New Year!!!
I am so excited for this year. It will be very different for me because I won't be in school. Before I go off to grad school I am taking some time off to travel, enjoy life and learn more about myself. First is a road trip to Georgia to spend time with great friends.
What are you planning for 2013?

Tea Obsessed

I ordered so of DavidsTEA after seeing A Beautiful Mess's post, and it is absolutely amazing. Their teas have such beautiful aromas and the flavor isn't overpowering. I also got one of their mugs and it is perfect.

If you are a green tea lover you have to try Merry Cranberry. It has a wonderful christmas aroma to it. Mother's Little Helper is a relaxing chamomile tea with a hint of peppermint. So, if you are a tea drinking, you should try some DAVIDsTEA.
