Monday Madness!

Thankfully, it hasn't been a crazy day. I pretty excited about my sculpture class. I'm doing life casting this semester! Today I'm going to make a mold of Daniel's arm. I will put pictures up of the process later today.

Some other things I'm going on this week:

My drawings for class. I finally decided to do a series on junk food. The wrappers are just so colorful and I want to use as many of my new, beautiful, hand rolled, Richeson Soft Pastels as possible.

 

Also I will be working on my lessons with Craftyminx: Crochet School. If you ever want to learn how to crochet, she does amazing lessons. You should try it out!

Around The House!

Man Oh Man! The joys of coming home to 6 BOXES of art supplies. My room is now a mess and I'm not really sure what I am going to with all this stuff. Most of it is for presentation of my final pieces and that is just staying in the boxes till needed. Now just where to put them till then? :/

 

 

Clutter, no matter how many times you put things in there place, they seem to fall out of place just as fast. On a plus side I found this great organizer for my random art supplies. I wish it was a little bigger, especially for the price, but it is still nice.

Monday Madness!

The beginning of a new semester is always a little crazy. More so, I believe, for art students. We have to start making decisions on our projects for the semester. This semester I am taking Drawing 3, and I have to do series of 10 drawings on the same subject matters. My original idea was to work with yarn, but I just wasn't sure how to compose all 10 drawings differently. Then I had a completely different idea of doing peppers. I did a few sketches, that are below. I really enjoy drawing them because they are naturally abstract forms. Sadly, my professor did not like the idea and felt the pepper were not colorful enough. So, time to think of more ideas. I have till Wednesday to come up with one. EEK!

 

I forgot how much I enjoy using soft pastels, it has been a few year. I also forgot how easily they smudge, as you can tell on my green pepper.

New & Improved!!!

Hi there!!! My name is Kaegan & I am so excited for my new and improved blog. When I was doing my first blog I jumped right in it. LOVE IT, but I was very unorganized. This time around I am much more dedicated and can't wait to get the inspiration flowing. 

A little about me: I am an art student. I am majoring in Photography and minoring in sculpture. I know, totally opposite, but once I starting welding I fell in love. This blog of mine is going to be about my everyday life, my inspirations, crafts I love, & my art.
